Rethinking Our Future was the course set up by the group of academics and activists ‘Real Democracy Movement’ in order to both provide a historical and philosophical context for the unique challenges presented by late stage capitalism and a social and political pathway out. To provide people with the tools with which they could help build a more equitable society.
I was asked by the Real Democracy Movement to create an e-learning site for them on the Learnworlds platform. This involved learning the ins and outs of the system and finding creative ways to produce the features they wanted within the limitations of the site-builder.
In addition I was required to design the aesthetic, which was challenging as I do not have a design background but I am ultimately pleased with what I was able to achieve. The result was an extensive e-learning portal with student and tutor interaction and forum capabilities.
This course has now run its... course, and log-in has been suspended pending the launch of a new syllabus.
